William ( Bill ) Cole ( 1933 – 2009 ) was born in Quesnel, BC. The family moved to Powell River when Bill was a youngster and they settled in Riverside. In school Bill was active in the Air Cadets and through them learned to fly. He also worked part time for the Powell River Company and after graduating from Brooks High School he continued working for them. At the end of his career he was the maintenance supervisor of the Thermo-Mechanical Pulp Dept. He became a commercial pilot and at one time flew float planes from Powell Lake. He was part owner of a Cessna 172 and took his family on many adventures. He married Shirley and they had two sons Randy and Derek. He was a founding member of the Mt. Diadem Ski Club and the Myrtle Point Gold Club and enjoyed many other activities such as curling, fishing, hunting, hiking, motorcycling, and enjoyed travelling in his Recreational Vehicle. He was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Powell River Branch No 164.

The series consists of an application to the BC Department of Commerical Transport to install a Rope Tow, Handle Tow or Similar Device. To install a rope tow for the Mount Diadem Ski Club.

Maps and Technical Drawings. - - 1962-1947. - - 14 drawings and maps.
The series consists of maps depicting where the Mt.Diadem Ski Club in the Stillwater area was proposed and where it eventually came to be. The technical drawings were done by Ted Carlson.They include drawings of the Ski cabin and later alterations and the Rope Tow construction.
