George Cornwall wrote ‘ The Kingcome River Survey of 1926 British Columbia Lands Department my recollections.” in 1926. After his first year of classes at the University of British Columbia he signed up for a three week course in surveying and mapping part of Kingcome River.

The collection consists of a 37 page manuscript.

The series consists of lists of people who donated the samples of sand and where they came from. Includes some newspaper articles and letters that Chapman wrote. The series consist of a synopsis of the three week survey team that mapped part of the Kingcome River area. Included as names: A.S.G. Musgrave, surveyor, Union Steamship Chelosin, Campbell River, Quadra Island, Frank Stout,Mr. Lansdowne, Jardine, First Nations, totem poles, Hallidays, Alert Bay and other areas.
