Rolland Desilets Artist Photographer Studio – 1970-1998 – approx 9,000 images

Born and raised in Powell River, Desilets learned the art of photography while serving in the Canadian Armed Forces. He left Tri-Services, Comox, in 1972 and began his professional career as a photographer in his home town. Mrs Desilets was and is the bookkeeper.

The first studio was in the front of the house at 5869 Ash St. In 1974 he moved to 4299 Joyce Ave with the studio in the basement. In 1976 an addition to the home was built and the Photography Studio is housed there.
