Thomas Dobozy ( ?1940 - ) was born in Hungary and came to Powell River in 1957 with the Sopron University Foresty Department during the Hungarian Revolution. Dobozy graduated from University of BC and returned to Powell River to work at the mill for MacMillan Blodel Ltd. One of the projects he worked on was the building of the access road from Mowat Bay to the Powell River log pond. This private road incorporated an underpass on Highway 101 between the Townsite and Westview so that the logging trucks would not have to cross the public road.
