John Dunn ( 1910 – 2004 ) was born in Newcastle on Tyne and came to Canada as a young boy. He was raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and moved to Powell River in 1927. He worked in the Powell River Company pulp and paper mill and retired in 1975. He and his wife Verna had three children. Verna died in 1974 and he married Gertrude in 1988. Dunn was an enthusiastic amateur photographer and took many photographs of his family, Powell River and his travels.

Series Description:

1. 1080 Ocean View Ave. - - 1955 – 1959. - - 2cm of textual records ( photocopied )
The series consists of documentation of the transferring, by sale, the property at 1080 Ocean View from the Powell River Company, later MacMillian Bloedel Ltd., to John Dunn. Includes notices of assessment from the Corporation of the District of Powell River.
