Biographical Sketch: Tony Goes (1934 -) worked as Clerk of the Works during the construction of the new hospital on Joyce Ave. He chronicled the growth of the hospital through photographs and was the liaison between the Powell River Regional District and the Powell River Hospital Board.

Scope and Content: The collection consists of publications and images of the construction of the new Powell River General Hospital at 5000 Joyce Ave that was opened in 1993. Includes the ground breaking ceremony and the subsequent construction and hospital fittings.

Source of title: Title based on content of the collector.

Immediate source of acquisition: Mr. Goes took the photographs and donated them to the Museum.
