Gleb Goumeniouk fonds. –1956-1962 . - - 3 cm of textual records

Gleb Goumeniouk (1915–1965) was born in Russia, moved to Canada when a teenager and received by his engineering degree from the University of BC. He was appointed the Powell River Company’s Research Director from 1948-?1951. He developed a new method of feeding pulp to a newsprint machine and he designed a head box for Paper Machine #8. He and his family moved to Vancouver where he worked as a consultant until his death.

The fonds consists of records of Gleb Goumeniouk. Includes patent papers, correspondence and reports.

Acquisition: Acquired from Mrs. Violet Goumeniouk ( nee Davies )

Arrangement: Upon arrival the material was in two binders with loose papers. The fonds was arranged in the early 1990’s and reappraisal was done in June 2007. An artificial arrangement was imposed by the archivist.
