Daniel Rajala Collection - - 1998-2015 . –2.5 cm of textual records.


Daniel Rajala was born in 1954 in Ontario and grew up in Campbell River on Vancouver Island. He attended Vancouver Art School in Vancouver in the 1970’s, did a post-graduate degree and started selling his paintings in Vancouver where they were well received. He then moved to Toronto, toured across the U.S.A., moved again this time to Kelowna and eventually back to Vancouver. He was a founding member of Gallery Reflections in Gastown, after a very successful show he worked for Tamahnous Theatre in Vancouver. In 1994 he was one of the founding members of Gallery Gachet and was on the Board of Directors at the Unit Pitt Gallery. He has struggled with addictions and Rajala found that writing poetry is an outlet for his talent. He has 28 books of poetry that he has self-published. He moved to Powell River in 2001.
