Theresa Randall fonds: -- 1960 – 1986 --31 cm of textual records

Theresa Randall nee Quiney (1908 – 2000) and her husband Jim (1904 – 1999) were married in 1927 in Vancouver, B.C. and moved to Powell River in 1930.

Theresa (Terry) and Jim built a home on Jasper St (formerly known as Wolgar and later 9
th St) in 1932 and raised their family of three children.

Terry was a founder member of the Powell River Historical Museum in 1962 and served in many Board positions.

In 1964 they sold their home and moved to 6815 Burton Ave whereupon they opened an antique shop, Treasure Trove.

The fonds consists of correspondence, financial records and scrap books.

1. Museum: -- 1962 - ? -- 5 cm of textual records.

The series consists of hand-written notes in scrapbooks regarding genealogy and histories of very early Powell River. Terry Randall’s story as dictated to Peggy Bird; purchase of Dunstan’s Photo Studio, an Executive report of a visit to Texada Island, Powell River Exhibition display concerns and letters addressed to the 1966-1967 Powell River Centennial Committee suggesting that a Museum be the Centennial project.

Personal: -- 1960-1969 – 6 cm of textual records, 28 bw photographs

The series consists of a mimeographed sheet of instructions for the 1960 Pioneer Week, correspondence to Vancouver Archives and Tranquille Clinic and photographs. The photographs include images of: The house on Jasper St, 9
th Street Gang, Kent family on Harvie Ave, City Motors,
Andy Anderson’s Mill, Riverside Oval, Trail Tourist Camp, Sliammon, Saltery Bay ferry, Marine Ave-Westview Hotel, Music Band at Lund, Westview Flying Club’s first airplane, Bob Davies, Terry Randall ‘Mrs
