Stan Richardson ( 1923 -2007 ) was born in Powell River and graduated from Brooks High School in 1941. In Sept of the same year he signed up for the Royal Canadian Navy where he served as a Signal operator and was on a Mine Sweeper that went into Omaha Beach on D-Day. He was demobilized in 1945 and returned to Powell River to work at the Powell River Company mill. He retired from the Mill in the 1970’s. He was predeceased by his first wife Joan.

The series consists of a scrapbook made up of sports, military and personal event. It also includes photocopied pages pertaining to Richardson from the book Juno Beach written by Mark Zuehlke, 2004.
